Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that if London refuses to answer for the questions asked by the Russian side during the extraordinary session of the Executive Committee of Organization on the prohibition of chemical weapons (OPCW) scheduled for April 4, this will mean that the so-called "Skripal case" is a gross provocation.

Recall, the convocation of the session of the Executive Committee of the OPCW was initiated by Russia to receive answers on the "Skripal case". On the eve representatives of Russia at the organization sent a list of 13 questions to the OPCW Technical Secretariat on various aspects of this case.

Lavrov noted that the Russian side had distributed "strictly specific issues in full compliance with the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons". Some of the issues are addressed to the technical secretariat of the OPCW, some to the British side. Some questions concern France. According to French President Emmanuel Macron, Paris was actively involved in the investigation.

Lavrov stressed that the inability of the British to respond to them would mean only one thing - that "this is all a fiction ora gross provocation".
